PRODUCTION STAGE IN MAKING STOP-MOTION ANIMATED FILM

The stop-motion animation technique, also known as the method of “bringing lifeless objects to life,” gives them their own existence.

After setting everything up, the production stage combines photography and animation smoothly and skillfully.

Unlike other animation methods like 2D or 3D, where most steps are done on computers, the entire process of making a stop-motion animation happens in the real world, with real characters and objects.

The animator will move the objects in the real space little by little, and each small movement will be captured in a photo. Each second of movement for the characters or objects consists of about 12 to 24 photos. When all the photos are put together, we get an animated film where the objects or characters come to life and move by themselves in a lively way.
